From Exhortation to Impact: My Word Journey

Each January, I choose a word to anchor my year—a spiritual compass that guides my decisions, fuels my growth, and reminds me of who I’m called to be. These words aren’t just themes; they’re invitations to live with intention, clarity, and purpose.
2025: Exhortation

In 2025, I chose Exhortation — the call to encourage, uplift, and speak life into others. I didn’t pick it because it sounded pretty. I picked it because I felt God nudging me to use my voice more intentionally, not in big stages or formal settings, but in the everyday places where people actually live and struggle and grow.
When I look back, the moments that felt like pure exhortation weren’t flashy. They were simple, steady, and sacred. They were the mentoring conversations where I watched someone’s confidence shift — not because I solved anything for them, but because I reminded them of who they already were. They were Purpose Group meet ups where we were vulnerable with each other about what we were going through. They were the quiet text messages and the “thinking of you today” notes that somehow landed at the exact right time.
I found myself writing more prayers than I expected, sharing scripture more freely, and trusting that encouragement doesn’t have to be long or polished to be powerful. Sometimes it was a sentence. Sometimes it was a question. Sometimes it was just presence.
There were also unexpected moments — the desk conversations at Samtec, the coworkers who pulled me aside, the people who said, “Can I run something by you?” Those moments reminded me that exhortation isn’t a role; it’s a posture. It’s choosing to show up with clarity, compassion, and steadiness, even when the moment wasn’t on my calendar.
And at home, exhortation looked like cheering on my people, helping them navigate transitions, celebrating their growth, and offering wisdom when it was asked for. It was the kind of encouragement that happens around kitchen counters, in car rides, and in the in‑between moments that never make it to social media.
Exhortation became the way I moved through the year — not loud, not performative, but rooted, intentional, and Spirit-led.
2026: Impact

For 2026, I chose Impact. Not just as a goal—but as a framework. I created an acronym to guide how I plan to show up through Blooming Clarity:
I – Inspire others
M – Measure Progress & Results
P – Prioritize
A – Alignment with Values
C – Create Content that Resonates
T – Transform Ideas into Outcomes
This word is about execution. It’s about taking the encouragement I offered in 2025 and turning it into tangible outcomes—courses, coaching, speaking engagements, and systems that serve.
I want to inspire others not just with words, but with action. I want to measure progress—not for perfection, but for clarity. I want to prioritize what matters most, align every offering with my values, and create content that truly resonates with those I’m called to serve.
Most of all, I want to transform ideas into outcomes. Blooming Clarity isn’t just a name—it’s a mission. And Impact is how I plan to live it out.
A Word-Based Legacy
Exhortation taught me to speak life. Impact invites me to build it. Together, they form a rhythm of encouragement and execution—a legacy I hope to leave through every coaching call, course, and conversation.
As I step into 2026, I carry the warmth of exhortation and the drive of impact. I’m rooted in clarity, reaching toward transformation. And I’m ready to make this year count—in every word, every action, and every life I touch.
